Producer Eiji Aonuma has released a video message aimed at fans looking forward to the Wii U installment of The Legend of Zelda.
Due to the open world nature of the the title, Aonuma explained that several new ideas continue to spring forth, which will unfortunately delay the game past its previous target of 2015. They hope that by focusing on the development of these new ideas instead of a release date, that the game will be the best Zelda title it can be.
Additionally, the Nintendo of America Twitter account stated that the game will not be seen at this year’s E3.
Mr. Aonuma & team will be hard at work on #Zelda and have decided not to show it @ E3. Thanks for your patience! https://t.co/bwu3nd3fNi
